Girls Journeying Together groups should be an essential part of growing up for all girls!

In my girls’ groups, I offer a safe and supported place where girls can relax and be themselves without fear of criticism and judgement. Where they can ask all the questions that they really want to know the answers to, and yet may not dare ask! Pre-teen girls naturally begin to look beyond the family home for support and guidance growing up, which is wonderful if the outside influences aren’t harmful. Girls Journeying Together encourages positive and helpful information and feedback, where an open-minded and curious outlook is cultured, and they begin to learn about and believe in the wonderful uniqueness of being themselves and no one else.  Girls Journeying Together offers girls an opportunity to be supported at a time when they might feel a bit lost, insecure about the changes to their body and their relationships with others. Many say they make friends for life!

I live in a village in West Sussex with my husband, our two daughters and our two crazy, yet loveable, cocker spaniels. Being a mum of two girls, I feel like we are literally girls journeying together, making merry mistakes along the way and learning from them as best we can. My time as a facilitator has increased my capacity to meet them where they are on this important journey and to discover the path ahead together.

I love to walk, especially by the sea, and my goal in life is to own my own beach hut one day! I enjoy reading and finding new books and authors who reawaken my passion for learning and connection. I am also very at home with a cup of tea in my hand, meeting up with close friends and family and sharing what is important in our lives.

I have been a teacher for many years, latterly specialising in teaching English to Years 5 and 6. My pastoral relationships and connections with the children has made me keenly aware of the challenges that girls aged 10-12 can face and how vulnerable they can be without a support network that they can rely on. I am also a qualified Girls’ Net mentor with Rites for Girls and it has been a real privilege to hold that safe space for the girls to connect with each other.

Please do contact me for a chat if you would like to know more about my taster sessions. I would love to talk to you more about my Girls Journeying Together groups.
