Originally from Lancashire I am a mum and a fully qualified teacher with 28 years teaching experience. In both capacities, mum and teacher, I have become increasingly concerned about young girls’ mental wellbeing and want to give daughters the chance to achieve a strong sense of self through supportive friendships and a sense of pride in their uniqueness. I believe that facilitating Girls Journeying Together groups will achieve this and that those girls who join will benefit for the rest of their lives.
