At various stages in my life I have been a daughter, sister, teacher, wife, mother, magistrate, pilot and psychotherapist! Despite this long list, I believe there are still things I have missed out on and will continue to explore. Working as a child psychotherapist, I see in detail how the challenges and traumas that young people experience shape their future, sometimes inevitably. My work aims to provide an alternative, more positive future for the children I encounter and to challenge that inevitability. I am excited about creating an positive environment and safe space for young girls who are negotiating the physical, emotional, academic and social challenges of adolescence. Women are the most common primary caregivers, and empowering young girls and future mothers will enhance the whole community.
