In Girls Journeying Together groups my hope is for girls to feel confident in their uniqueness, to build resilience in their struggles and to celebrate each other’s differences. I will provide a safe place where girls can feel heard and valued, exploring different topics in open and honest communication. I will encourage questions from their own natural curiosity and all at a pace that feels comfortable. The girls will be fully supported by me and each other on their journey together – a journey that will prepare them and guide them through the changes and challenges of their preteen years and beyond.

I found my own ‘tribe’ later in life and this work with Rites for Girls offers girls something I would have loved: the opportunity to really discover who I was in a community of my peers. I imagine how different my younger years could have been if I’d had this…

I live by the seaside with my son, our lazy border terrier, and a magical cat! I love nature, and I go on regular adventures with my friends for camping trips and festivals. Being a mother myself and having cared for many young girls in my career as a childcare practitioner, I understand the concerns mothers have about being the primary influencer and role model at this sensitive time in a girl’s life. I feel honoured to be able to provide this support for mothers and daughters at this precious time in your lives.
