I run fun, informative groups for 10-12 year-old girls to help them transition into puberty positively. Adolescence can be a difficult time for many, and this pro-active approach really works. The girls blossom together over the course of a year and are well-resourced to face their teens feeling more confident and self-assured. Mums are invited to meet and support each other too.
A safe and confidential space, such as this, would have made such a difference to me in my pre-teens, which is what led me to train to do this important work.
I am a mum myself to two grown children. I have also fostered many more. As a birth and postnatal doula, I work closely with families helping them transition into parenthood. For me, this is an extension of my doula role — helping girls transition into strong, confident women. I also coach and mentor young people individually.
