We were all ten once; so much to look forward to, and also so many unknowns.

A Girls Journeying Together group meets monthly for a year, tailored to support girls as they transition from primary to secondary school. The sessions are fun and nurturing. There is a theme each month, for example, How do we be ourselves amidst pressure from peers and social media? Feeling comfortable in a changing body, and Imagining the future. Topics are explored in a way that allows each girl to engage as suits her. Suggestions about how to deal with potential challenges are introduced and may be immediately useful, or come in handy in the future.

In my life so far, I have been a teacher, artist, builder, and project manager. Creativity lies at the centre of who I am, whether that be building a house or making furniture, sewing, cooking, dancing and life drawing. I care deeply for the environment, I am an eco-builder, grow food, meditate and love foraging. I lived in New Zealand for 20 years, but have enjoyed returning home to Lancashire.

I do not have any biological children. This was a conscious choice. I am a sister, auntie and of course a daughter. I am deeply called to this work of inspiring and supporting girls to thrive in this world. I support them to get to know and trust their inner wisdom, be kind to themselves and each other, and grow into the women they choose to become.

If you wish to offer this opportunity to your daughter, or girl that you care for, please do get in touch. I run free taster sessions, so your girl can decide if the program is right for her. I would love to hear from you!
